"it's a small world" - Disneyland: In 1963, Walt Disney asked Mary Blair to design It's a Small World for the New York World's Fair (1964-65). Blair was known for her modern artistic style and inspired use of color. In 1966, the highly successful attraction debuted at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
Standing midway up the Eiffel Tower, holding a red balloon, is the doll dedicated to Mary Blair - the artist who inspired the attraction's overall look. The little doll with short blonde hair, is also dressed in Blair's quirky personal style, wearing boots and a yellow poncho.
