Above the Temple Entrance

There is a warning to all enter the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Carved into the stone above the temple's entrance, the Mara script reads - BEWARE THE EYE OF MARA.

Mara Mural

As you step into the temple you'll notice a mural depicting Mara and three destinies (eternal youth, riches or knowledge), one of which you may receive if you are worthy.

First Chamber

To the right of the Mara mural you'll notice Mara script going around the top of the chamber. It reads: LOOK NOT INTO THE EYE OF MARA AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF ETERNAL YOUTH EARTHLY RICHES OR FUTURE KNOWLEDGE.

First Chamber

To the right of the Mara mural you'll notice Mara script going around the top of the chamber. It reads: LOOK NOT INTO THE EYE OF MARA AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF ETERNAL YOUTH EARTHLY RICHES OR FUTURE KNOWLEDGE.

Mara Wall 1

After leaving the first chamber you'll come across a full wall of Mara script. It reads: IT IS FORBIDDEN TO PASS BEYOND THIS CHAMBER WITHOUT A SERVANT OF MARA TO GUIDE YOUR PATH HEED THIS WARNING OR RISK INCURRING THE WRATH OF MARA FOR DOOM AWAITS THE UNBELIEVER IN THE DARKNESS BEYOND.

MM

Hidden Disney: Look for a special Mara script "MM" as a nod to Mickey Mouse! ºoº

Mara Wall

As you walk through the hallway you'll come across a stone tablet of Mara. Above it is Mara script that reads: ONLY THE BLIND SHALL SEE.

Statue

Soon you'll come across a sitting statue. Above it the mara script reads: EARTHLY RICHES.

Water Fountains

When you see two water fountains you must choose wisely! As the Mara script reads: ONLY ONE SPRING CAN RESTORE YOUTH AND VIGOR CHOOSE WISELY.

Mara Wall

The wall to the right of the water fountains reads: DRINK DEEPLY THE WATER OF LIFE.

Mara Wheel 1

In the next hallway is a large stone wheel propped up against a wall. It reads: THE GATES OF DOOM ARE EVER OPEN.

In the next hallway is a large stone wheel propped up against a wall. It reads: THE GATES OF DOOM ARE EVER OPEN.

True Rewards

TRUE REWARDS AWAIT THOSE WHO CHOOSE WISELY.

Cavern Opening

As you enter the bat caverns you'll notice Mara script around the cavern opening. It is missing some words where the opening seems to have been blasted in. What can be seen reads (underlined is what I believe to be missing):

Danger! Do Not Touch Pole!

Hidden Disney: In the spike room you'll see a pole that says, "Danger! Do not touch! When still operational, you could push or pull the pole and the ceiling would fall several inches and make a crashing like sound. These days the effect no longer works, but the pole remains.

The spike room is located directly underneath the Disneyland Railroad. If you are inside when the train passes over, it might sound like the ceiling IS going to fall in on you!

Eeyore Parking Sign

Hidden Disney: The Indiana Jones adventure was built over the old Disneyland parking lot. The Eyeore section parking sign sits above the projection room in tribute. If you ask one of the CMs they'll shine a light on it for you!

MARA SHALL GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE DOORWAY OF YOUR MOST SECRET DESIRE IN THE CHAMBER OF DESTINY.

ONLY THE PURE OF HEART SHALL GAIN ADMITTANCE INTO THE CHAMBER OF DESTINY.

Well Cover

Mara script on the well cover reads: (top) THE PURE OF HEART ARE PROTECTED BENEATH THE WATCHFUL EYE OF MARA. (bottom) WOE TO THE UNWORTHY WHO PASS BENEATH. (corners) PLOW THE FIELD / PLANT THE SEED / REAP THE HARVEST / TRIBUTE TO MARA.
