Washington Nationals - Guest Services, Victoria Gardens, Rancho Cucamonga
Washington D.C. has been home to three versions of the Washington Senators. The original 1891-1899 Senators franchise was eliminated from the National League in 1900, due to contraction from twelve teams to eight. The Senators returned in 1901, when the Kansas City Blues relocated to the capitol to help found the American League. That franchise would leave for Minneapolis & St.Paul after the 1960 season, becoming the Minnesota Twins. Major League Baseball granted the District of Columbia a new American League expansion team in 1961, yet those Washington Senators would leave in 1972 to become the Texas Rangers.
