R2-KT
RT-K2 is a special pink droid created for Katie Johnson, a little girl who died from brain cancer on August 9, 2005.
Katie's family wanted to build an R2 droid to watch over her while in the hospital. To watch over Katie, volunteers from the R2-D2 builders club repainted an existing droid to act as a stand-in. Meanwhile, the builders fabricated a new droid with parts and labor donated by R2-D2 builders members from all over the country.
The SDCC 2007 Convention Exclusive R2-KT sold by Hasbro - benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
