Brave - Gordon the Guard
Actor John Ratzenberger is considered Pixar Studio's lucky charm, having voiced a character in every Pixar Studios animated feature. Best known for playing Cliff Clavin, know-it-all postman from the sitcom Cheers, Ratzenberger fakes enough of a Scottish accent to voice Brave's Gordon the Guard.

Brave - Sulley from Monsters University
Referring to upcoming projects is a reoccuring Pixar Easter Egg and Brave's animators hid popular Monsters, Inc. (2001) character, James P. Sullivan, somewhere in the Scottish highlands. Hidden in the old witch's workshop is a woodcarving of a young Sulley, from the upcoming Disney·Pixar animated feature Monsters University (2013).

Brave - The Witch's Newt
Pixar Studios animators have a tradition of hiding references to previous or upcoming films in each of their animated features. Pixar's cancelled Newt project is referenced as The Witch drops a dessicated newt into the potion cauldron.
