Disney Dream Suite
In celebration of the Year of a Million Dreams, Disney would surprise lucky guests with a free night's stay in the Disney Dream Suit
In the mid 1960's, that space above the Pirates of the Caribbean was originally planned as the Royal Suite, a private apartment for the Disney family. When Walt Disney died in 1966, Roy Disney stopped work on the nearly finished Royal Suite. The Disney family felt that it would be too difficult to enjoy the suite without Walt.
In August of 2007 - the suite, which had housed offices and the Disney Gallery, was closed and transformed into the Dream Suite in preparation for the Year of a Million Dreams.
