After the Parr family defeats Syndrome's Omnidroid, a pair of old men say, "Now that's Old School."

The scene is a tribute to Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, veteran animators and two of Walt Disney's Nine Old Men. Longtime friends, Thomas and Johnston also authored Disney Animation, The Illusion of Life (1981), considered to be the handbook for character animation.
