Indiana's Dog House

A curious little dog house sits along the Disneyland Railroad tracks in Frontierland. The name Indiana is painted in white across the front of the shingled dog shack.

We named the dog Indiana!

Fans of the Indiana Jones films may remember the quote from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. As Indy protests to being called Junior, it was a comeback from the elder Dr. Henry Jones (played by Sean Connery).

Mineral Hall - Window

This window in the Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante dining area, acts as a tribute to the past. The inscription refers to Disneyland's Mineral Hall exhibit and gift shop, which operated in Frontierland from 1956-1963.

Big Thunder Ranch - Alameda Slim

An Alameda Slim wanted poster hangs just outside of the Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland. This Disney detail refers to the Walt Disney Studios animated feature, Home on the Range (2004).

In honor of Davy Crockett, a coonskin cap and buckskin shirt hang by the front door of the log cabin along the Rivers of America.

Mike Fink's Gullywhumper

Mike Fink's keel boat, the Gullywhumper, is moored along the Rivers of America. The Gullywhumper pays homage to the Davy Crockett television series, the full length features Davy Crockett's Keel Boat Race and Davy Crockett and the River Pirates, as well as the Mike Fink Keel Boat attraction that once circled the Rivers of America.

Chief Waves-A-Lot

Tirelessly greeting railroad and steamboat passengers along the Rivers of America, the American Indian on horseback is affectionately called Chief Waves-A-Lot.
