King Arthur Carrousel - Sage: Sage features a red and maize paint job, trimmed with several shades of blue and metallic gold. Sage can be identified by the three flowing gold plumes, which are attached to both sides of the maize breastband.
The triple ostrich plume is a symbol used in heraldry, signifying obedience and serenity. The crest of three plumes is also used as a symbol for the Prince of Wales (heir to the British throne). The crest originated with Edward the Black Prince, who adopted the triple plume symbol from his mother's house (House of Hainault). The Black Prince was the first Prince of Wales to have died before ascending to the throne, his seal eventually became the symbol of the British prince in waiting.
