Enchanted - Storybook Opening

Enchanted's storybook opening scene pays homage to several classic Walt Disney animated features, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (1937), Cinderella (1950) and Sleeping Beauty (1959).

Enchanted - Jeweled Eyes

While trying to build her one true love, Giselle mimics a scene from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (1937) in which Dopey famously holds a pair of gems to his eyes.

Enchanted - The Frog Prince

This scene was inspired by the Walt Disney animated feature The Princess and the Frog (2009), which was in production prior to Enchanted's completion.

Enchanted - The Beast's Rose

Search through Gizelle's cottage (far right of screenshot) to find a pink rose under a bell jar, an homage to the enchanted rose from Disney's Beauty and the Beast (1991).

Enchanted - The Ogre's Clothing

The ogre captured by Prince Edward wears some familiar looking clothing. From this view, it appears the ogre's loincloth is made from dresses worn by Briar Rose (Sleeping Beauty) and Cinderella.

Enchanted - The Ogre's Clothing

As the ogre tries to capture Giselle, its easy to see that his loincloth is made from Snow White's plain brown dress and Belle's blue village dress. He is also wearing a pair of scallop shell earrings that resemble Ariel's seashell bikini top.

Enchanted - Happy Working Song

Giselle and New York City's animals sing the Happy Working Song while cleaning Robert's apartment. The scene was a direct reference to the Whistle While You Work sequence from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (1937), except the cute woodland creatures were replaced by pigeons, cockroaches, rats and flies.

Enchanted - Scrubbing Bubbles

While Giselle scrubs the bathroom floor her reflection appears in several soap bubbles, reminiscent of a scene from Cinderella (1950).

Enchanted - Hidden Mickeys

Hidden on Giselle's curtain dress are pink flowers shaped like Classic Mickeys.

Enchanted - Hidden Sheep Dog

The pulsh sheep dog hidden in Robert Phillip's apartment is a nod to Max, Prince Eric's dog in The Little Mermaid (1989).

Sheep dogs are also used in the series of Walt Disney Studios' Shaggy Dog movies - The Shaggy Dog (1959), The Shaggy D.A. (1976), The Return of the Shaggy Dog (1987), The Shaggy Dog (a 1994 television movie) and The Shaggy Dog (2006), a remake starring Tim Allen.

Enchanted - Jodi Benson

Sam, Robert's assistant at the law office, is played veteran voice actress Jodi Benson. Rarely seen onscreen, Disney fans may recognize Benson's name, she is talented soprano who voiced Ariel in The Little Mermaid (1989).

Jodi Benson has appeared in several Disney projects. She reprised her role as Ariel in The Little Mermaid sequels and The Little Mermaid television series. Benson provided the voices for Weebo in Flubber (1997) and Helen of Troy in the Hercules cartoon series. Jodi also lends her vivacious voice to Barbie, the Mattel icon who appears in Toy Story 2 (1999) and Toy Story 3 (2010).

Enchanted - Rowboat Serenade

Robert and Giselle get a Calypso style serenade on a rowboat, duplicating the Kiss the Girl sequence from Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989).

Enchanted - Grand Duke Hotel

Lodgings for Prince Edward and Nathaniel were provided by the Grand Duke Hotel, named for Cinderella's Grand Duke.

Enchanted - Magic Mirror

While searching for Giselle, Prince Edward begs the Magic Mirror (television) in his motel room for help, spoofing the mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (1937).

Enchanted - Paige O'Hara

Veteran stage actress Paige O'Hara, Belle's voice in Beauty and the Beast (1991), makes a cameo as a soap opera vixen.

Enchanted - Judy Kuhn

Searching for Giselle in Robert's building, Prince Edward knocks on several random doors. As this mother of three answers, she looks at the prince and quips, "You're too late." The cameo was made by Tony Award nominated actress, Judy Kuhn, the singing voice for Disney's Pocahontas.

Enchanted - Prince Edward's Reflection

Prince Edward checks his teeth by looking at the reflection in his sword, in a scene inspired by The Beauty and the Beast's (1991) vain villain, Gaston.

Enchanted - Maleficent's Glow

The eerie green glow surrounding Queen Narissa is inspired by the evil Maleficent from Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959).

Enchanted - The Old Hag

Inspired by Snow White's Evil Queen, Narissa transforms herself into an Old Hag and offers Giselle a poisoned red apple.
