2009 D23 EXPO - Disney Legends
The 2009 Disney Legends award ceremony was held on Thursday, September 10th, in the D23 Arena. Ten individuals were honored for their contributions to the Walt Disney Company and were inducted as Disney Legends.
- Tony Anselmo - Disney Studios Animator and Donald Duck's voice since 1985.
- Harry Archinal - Former President of Buena Vista International, releasing Disney films worldwide.
- Beatrice Arthur - Emmy & Tony Award winning actress known for her roles on Maude & Golden Girls.
- Bill Farmer - Voice actor who has played Goofy since 1986.
- Estelle Getty - Emmy Award winner for her role as Sophia Petrillo on Golden Girls.
- Don Iwerks - Imagineer and son of Disney Legend Ub Iwerks.
- Rue McClanahan - Emmy Award winner for her role as Blanche Devereaux on Golden Girls. Also starred in Maude & Mama's Family.
- Leota Tombs Thomas - Imagineer and mother of current Imagineer, Kim Irvine. The talented artist is also known as the face of the Haunted Mansion's Madame Leota.
- Betty White - Six-time Emmy Award winner. Known for her roles on the Betty White Show, Mary Tyler Moore Show and as Rose Nylund on Golden Girls.
- Robin Williams - The Oscar, SAG and Golden Globe Award Winner was named a Disney Legend for his work on Aladdin, Flubber, Good Morning Vietnam and Dead Poets Society.
