Celebrate National Platypus Day!

Though he doesn't do much, the Disney Channel is honoring Perry the Platypus (Phineas and Ferb) by dedicating March 5th National Platypus Day. A Support Platypus Day campaign has been initiated on Disney's official website, which features several platypus-related activities, including a Where's Perry game. The honor is well deserved, as Phineas and Ferb's semi-aquatic mammalian pet has quietly become everyone's favorite blue-green platypus.

Incidentally, there is no official word if Disney's National Platypus Day creates any conflicts with International Duck-Billed Platypus Day, which is normally observed on February 2nd.
