Bambi Released on Blu-ray Today

Starting today, March 1, 2011, Walt Disney's Bambi has been released in a Disney DVD & Blu-Ray combo. Disney's 5th full-length animated feature has been digitally restored for its Blu-Ray release. Bambi and his friends, Thumper and Flower, make their HD debuts almost 70 years after originally premiering in 1942. In addition to the classic film, the enhanced Diamond Edition includes several short documentaries, deleted scenes, a deleted song and an extensive image gallery.

 A Two-Disc DVD Bambi Collection will be available on March 19, 2011. According to the Walt Disney Company, both versions will only be available for a limited time.
