The 60th Anniversary Edition of Alice in Wonderland Released Today

Curiouser and curiouser. The 60th Anniversary Edition of Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland will be released today on Blu-Ray and Disney DVD. Originally released in theaters in July of 1951, Disney's animated feature is based on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There (1871).

A special Un-Anniversary Edition DVD was released on March 30, 2010, as a promotional tie-in for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (2010). However, for the Blu-Ray release, Disney has remastered the animated feature in high-definition.
