Wally Boag & Betty Taylor in Disneyland's Golden Horseshoe RevueRetiring on January 28, 1982, the Golden Horseshoe Revue's Wally Boag performed his act for the last time, completing his 39,522nd performance.
Wallace Vincent Boag was a traveling performer when he signed a two-week long contract to perform at the new Disneyland Park. For 27 years Wally Boag took the stage in Frontierland's Golden Horseshoe Theater, performing at least three times a day - five days a week. When he retired in in 1982, Boag and the Golden Horseshoe Revue were listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the greatest number of performances in one theatrical presentation.
After completing the record breaking performance, Wally Boag was honored with a personalized Disneyland Window on Main Street. In addition to his appearances as Pecos Bill, Boag provided Jose's voice in the Enchanted Tiki Room and opened the Diamond Horseshoe Revue at Walt Disney World. He also appeared on the Original Mickey Mouse Club, The Absent-Minded Professor and The Love Bug. For his contributions, Wally Boag was inducted as a Disney Legend in 1995.
