Welcome baby Noah!

May 25, 2007

Here's a picture I took of myself wearing my Disney pirates shirt right before we left for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (baby belly still intact).

We went for the late 11PM showing and got home at 3AM. At 3:30AM my water broke, and off we went to the hospital! 13 hours later baby Noah Joseph was born (8lbs 4oz, 21" long)! Funny he let us finish the movie...I guess he wanted to hear the ending!

As for my thoughts on the movie...I was happy with it. It's not a stand alone movie...you have to watch Pirates 2 to understand Pirates 3. It ties up loose ends and maybe brings closure to the storyline with Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. However, they do leave an opening for a 4th installment. And I hope everyone stuck around after the credits (which you should do for every Disney movie) for a "10 years later" scene.

RUMORS...

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Fountain of Youth? There is talk of a 4th spin off movie which Johnny Depp would be back for, but probably not Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightly.

"Whether there will be another movie depends on whether we can create something new and different, but this is the end," Bruckheimer said. But he added, "This is the end, but whether one of the characters or a couple of the characters continue on, it's a possibility. ... Certainly, in a moment at the end of the film there is a hope that something else might happen." [movies.ign.com/articles/787/787299p1.html]
